In collaboration with UZ Leuven we are developing a VR application that can support patients that are recovering from Covid in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. We also expect it to support patients during their further recovery at the hospital. The application was one of the winners of the VR4Rehab Devjam. We expect VR to help patients more comfortable and motivated during an extensive rehabilitation proces. We will also explore if it can be of benefit for other patients.
ImproVive is also exploring the possibilities for using VR in the physiotherapy practice to support Long Covid patients. We are exploring this with David van Dommelen, Health Innovator currently working as physiotherapist at Van Hoffmans van Benthum. We expect VR can help motivate patients during the long rehab proces and support them in a paced exercise approach.
