Client: Municipality Amersfoort
In 2008, the Dutch game industry was still on the rise and the business applications were still being explored. From 2008 to 2012, ImproVive organized the go-to event for the creative industry called Game in the City.
It was a two-day event with one day for professionals and one day for students. The Dutch Game Awards were a part of the two-day event. In that period, the number of visitors increased from 350 to 850. In the last year there was an impressive program, with more than 50 (inter) national speakers, dozens of master classes and the 5th edition of the Dutch Game Awards.
Game in the City was an initiative of the Amersfoort Creatieve Stad, an initiative of the Municipality of Amersfoort. For the masterclasses, we worked together with the Dutch Game Garden and for the Dutch Game Awards with Matthijs Dierckx and Eric Bartelson from Control.
